- Nursing PhD
The PhD in Nursing was launched by Haliç University Graduate School of Health Sciences, and graduates who have a Master’s degree in Nursing are expected to apply to this program.
The goal of the PhD Program is to encourage students to carry on independent scientific research, to interpret cases in depth and through a wide perspective, to enable the determining of the necessary steps in order to make new synthesis and applying this knowledge to the field of practice.
The PhD Thesis, upon the completion of this program, is expected to bring innovation to science, to develop new scientific method, to enable the applying of exciting methods to a new field, and to apply knowledge in the field of practice.
We think that the PhD Thesis would make a big contribution to the nursing profession. The PhD programs launched by the Department of Nursing vary according to their subjects such as: Internal Medicine Nursing, Surgical Disease Nursing, Gynecology and Gynecological Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Public Health Nursing, Principles of Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing.
- Physical Education and Sports
The Department of Physical Education and Sports was founded at Haliç University Graduate School of Health Sciences and launched its academic program for the first time at a Master’s level, aimed at educating graduates in Sport sciences as well as other related fields by means of knowledge production and research parallel to the scientific and technological developments.
This Master’s program, which is a multi-disciplinary field, is expected to contribute to sport sciences by educating students in a professional manner through producing theses in different subjects and helping to bring up qualified human resources in the sports sector.

The goal of the Master’s program in Nutrition and Dietetics at Haliç University Graduate School of Health Sciences is to educate nutrition specialists who are active in different branches of nutrition science, which is developing rapidly, and who follow innovations in science and technology.
- Physiotheraphy and Rehabilitation MSc
Physiotherapy provides services for individuals to develop and organize their functional skills to the maximum throughout their life. Physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices are necessary for healthy and unhealthy people, disabled people as well as people without hindrance in all stages of their lives. The goals of physiotherapy and rehabilitation are: to maintain a healthy and efficient life, to shorten illness periods, and to achieve the highest productivity level in case of disability as well as maintaining this level. Physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications contribute to increase productivity and development of society and serve in a large area. Therefore the need for a physiotherapy profession, which develops rapidly and has various fields of specialization, is increasing today.
The goal of the Master’s program in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Haliç University Graduate School of Health Sciences is to educate researchers and experts, who are specialized in specific fields of physiotherapy and rehabilitation science that develops at a rapid pace and has various specialization fields, and who follow the innovations and developments in science and also apply them to their professional and academic lives. This Program can also be regarded as the first step in cultivating academics needed for universities and research centers.
- Nursing MSc
A Master’s in Nursing is the first Master’s program launched by Haliç University Graduate School of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing. The educational success of our graduates and employment as practitioners stand as a proof for success of the Undergraduate Program in Nursing School at Haliç University. Practice and knowledge of the graduate nurses should be developed parallel to scientific and technological developments in order to keep this success during the Master’s studies. Thus, we hope that our Master’s Program would achieve the education of nurses based on knowledge production and research, while this knowledge would improve the welfare and health of the individuals and society, as well as leading to better understanding of the lived world.
